Blackened Salmon

Serves: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp coarse ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp cayenne
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp grapeseed oil, for frying
  • 4 (6 oz) portions skinless and boneless salmon filets

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a small bowl, combine the seasonings and mix well.

Season each salmon filet with the combined seasoning.

Heat a large nonstick oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Add butter and oil. Add fish seasoned-side-down and cook for 2–3 minutes. Flip. Cook for an additional minute and add pan to oven.

Cook for another 4–6 minutes until desired doneness.

Serve with your favorite veggies and sides.
